As we all witnessed this past weekend, Honda Canada GDR Fox Racing rider and Canadian legend Colton Facciotti showed up at the Daytona Supercross in hopes of making his first ever 450SX main event. With the new Rockstar Energy Triple Crown Series consisting of some early indoor races, Colton has been doing a lot of riding on SX and AX tracks since late January. Even with the months of training and the indoor experience that Colton already had heading into this past weekend, it was definitely not easy just jumping into a series as difficult and as high profile as the Monster Energy Supercross Series. After a good day of practice and some solid laps in the night program, Colton would come up just one spot short of making the 450SX main event. His fifth place finish in the 450 LCQ came after bad start, and then a hard charge right to the back tire of fourth place and the final transfer spot. With all things considered, we think Colton rode very well in Daytona and Krystyn Slack from Freestylephotocross was there to capture this awesome photos of Colton Facciotti’s adventure.
