Twenty-five years of a gathering like none other has been marked at the annual Walton TransCan GNC in Walton, Ontario this year. Considered the Loretta Lynn’s Amateur event of the north, we have seen families from all over North America come together to spend a fun-filled week at the coveted Walton Raceway. With the names like, Blair Morgan, Randy Valade, Ross Pederson, Travis Pastrana, Nick Wey, Jolene Van Vugt, Dean Wilson, Josh Woods and the list goes on and on. The TransCan, much like Loretta Lynn’s, has been a hotbed for some incredible talent. This year in particular was a challenging year for the track with mother nature dealing up some insane amounts of rain, and we mean, “get the bucket out and bail out the tent” kind of rain (believe me, I can attest to this). Without fail, the track workers spun some crazy kind of magic, worked some crazy kind of hours and managed to have the track rerouted in some spots and reworked in others to make it a track, many racers on the podium referred to as the best Walton track they had ever rode on. We were there to capture some of the scenes on the sidelines and we look forward to an even better 2017 Walton TransCan. It was a great time to catch up with moto family we only get to see once a year and a good opportunity to see talent from other parts of the US and Canada we might not otherwise see in person. A big thanks to the Walton Raceway staff for putting on yet another successful event. For those of you who have never been, mark it on your calendar for next year. See you in 2017!
