FXR Racing Presents Behind the Lens From Riverglade Raceway

On a hot and muggy day at Riverglade Raceway, the gate dropped this past weekend on Round 7 of the Rockstar Energy Triple Crown MXTour Series. The Riverglade track was in perfect condition as the riders battled hard during their only visit this year to Canada’s beautiful east coast. In the 250 Pro/Am class, Redemption Racing KTM rider Joey Crown took his first overall win of the season. In the 450 class, Red Bull Thor KTM rider Cole Thompson rode hard all day and he also took home his first overall win of the 2018 outdoor season. As the riders and teams now get ready for Round 8 this weekend in Quebec, we take a look back at some James Lissimore photos from Riverglade Raceway for this weeks Behind the Lens.

The award that every east coast rider wants to win.

These two riders didn’t make it onto the Riverglade podium, but they sure charged hard all day long.

The final lap Moto 2 battle between Kaven Benoit and Cole Thompson was epic.

Although he didn’t win a moto, Cole Thompson rode strong in Moncton and won his first 450 overall of the season.

Colton thrilled all of his east fans with a thrilling wire to wire victory in the opening 450 moto.

Who would’ve predicted that with just four motos to go in the 250/Am series, Joey Crown is six points out of the lead.

The start at Riverglade Raceway is one of the most exciting of the series.

The riders at Riverglade Raceway were going pretty fast.

Considering it was his first race for the Monster Energy Alpinestar Piller’s Kawasaki Team, Jacob Hayes rode very strong in both motos.

Jeremy Medaglia was back in Moncton, this time on a Honda. In both motos, Jeremy rode decent and looked much more comfortable on the red bike.

Now that’s a line up!

After his DNF at Gopher Dunes, and his off day in Moncton, Shawn Maffenbeier needs to find something in the coming weeks if he wants to defend his 250 title in 2018.

Wearing some nice looking 2019 Fly Racing Gear, Josh Osby rode better than we’ve see him ride all season long at Round 7.

These two Rockstar Energy OTSFF Yamaha riders appear to be finding each other quite a bit lately on the race track.

With two rounds to go and a slim six point lead in the 250 class, Jess Pettis will be no doubt be feeling a lot of pressure this coming weekend in Quebec.

I wonder if Matt Goerke ever gets sick of popping champagne bottles on the podium?

Ontario Intermediate superstar Jake Tricco had yet another solid weekend at Riverglade Raceway.

Cole Thompson had many reasons to be happy on the Moncton podium.

After Tyler Medaglia fell in the opening practice and sliced his side open on his footpeg. After a trip to the hospital, he returned just in time for the opening 450 moto. Tyler rode hard all day long but was in obvious pain from his injury.

Tanner Ward rode hard at Round 7, but suffered all day from crashes and poor starts. TW will no doubt be better this week in Quebec.

When I do my Golden Elbow Awards in a few months, I know who is going to win the Hardest Charger Award.
