SAINT BRUNO, Quebec – KTM North America, Inc. is pleased to announce the promotion of Florian Burguet to the position of Managing Director for KTM Sportmotorcycle GmbH, the global headquarters based in Mattighofen, Austria.
Burguet joined the Canadian team in late 2003, and was then promoted to General Manager of KTM Canada, Inc. in 2010. From there, he earned the role of President in 2014. “I would like to congratulate Florian and wish him all the best in his new venture overseas. Under his leadership, the Canadian subsidiary has consistently achieved success, and played a major role in the North American industry leading growth,” commented John Hinz, President of KTM Group North America, Inc.
Subsequently, the structure will see updates of its own. “With Florian’s promotion, we saw the opportunity to restructure our leadership team in Canada,” explained Tom Etherington, Vice President of KTM Group Sales. Effective immediately, KTM North America Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Adrien de Alexandris to the position of General Manager of KTM Canada, as well as Dave Howson to the role of National Sales Manager. “In their respective roles, Adrien and Dave will allow us to further strengthen our focus on the Canadian motorcycle market; reinforcing our attention to local staff, while better supporting our dealers and customers to achieve further growth,” Etherington added.
Adrien De Alexandris comes to the KTM Group with over 10 years of experience in the Powersports business at the OEM level. Throughout his career, De Alexandris has had the opportunity to work with regional markets across the globe, as well as within the headquarter environment in his previous role in Canada. He has held several strategic roles in product development and contributed to key on-road powersport product launches.
Dave Howson, previously a District Sales Manager for KTM Canada, features a strong sales background of over 25 years in the Powersports industry. Previously leading a National team of DSM’s in Canada, Howson’s experience includes specific focus on PG&A, both from an aftermarket and OEM standpoint, as well as unit sales in the dealer and OEM environment. De Alexandris and Howson will hold “Group” roles, responsible for both the KTM and Husqvarna Motorcycles brands.
