Nate Adams Ready To Energize Crowd At The Supermotocross Monster Energy

He Has Captured Gold in Freestyle at the X-Games

The organizers of the Supermotocross Monster Energy, presented by Parts Canada/Thor, are pleased to announce that world renowned rider Nate Adams will be coming to Montreal for the first time ever to participate in the highly anticipated Freestyle motocross (FMX) competition on Saturday, September 29. Nicknamed The Destroyer, the California resident has been called the “best FMX rider on this planet” by legend Travis Pastrana after Adams became the first motocross rider to beat him in a freestyle event.

Following his transition from motocross to freestyle, he was named 2000 Rookie-of-the-Year in the IFMA Series. He then finished runner-up in the standings the following year, before winning the WFA World Freestyle Motocross and Big Air Championship at the age of 18 in 2002. Since then, he has won four consecutive LG Action Sports Championships in Pomona, California, from 2003 to 2006, and crowned champion in the AST Dew Tour Freestyle in 2006 and 2007. In 2009, he dominated the Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour, winning the title in the final event of the season. He won it again in 2010 to become the first and only rider to repeat as champion, let alone win back-to-back World Titles. Over the course of his career, he collected 14 medals at the X-Games, seven of them in Freestyle Motocross: Gold in 2004 and 2011, Silver in 2003 and 2007, and Bronze in 2005, 2009, and 2010. From July 2009 to August 2011, the Monster Energy-sponsored Honda CRF 450F rider climbed the podium 18 consecutive times prior to sustaining a nasty injury in training in August 2011. Following an eight-month layoff, he returned to competition this summer at the X-Games XVIII.

Québec’s own Ben Milot to face Adams and other Freestyle stars
“He’s the World Number One in my book,” says Ben Milot, the Quebec Freestyle Champion. “He is a very technical driver that adapted his style of flying over the years. He has proved that he is still among the world elite at the latest X-Games in Los Angeles finishing fourth in Freestyle and winning a Silver Medal in the Speed & Style competition. Not bad for a rider who was riding for the first time in eight months. Fans will definitively love his high flying style.”

Ben Milot kept his form all summer long with a 30-city Milot Land Tour in Quebec, Ontario, and New-Brunswick performing a new show. The Trois-Rivières rider is eager to return to Olympic Stadium where he will face Adams and other top-level freestylers who will be announced in the coming weeks.
