You guess…..The word rhymes with TRAIN (which is what we do for MX) ………… Its RAIN!
I love the Mud (I am being positive) and we are now riding and the weather is nice today.
Weather changed our plan and cancelled the 1st round of the MX101 race series so I had to find another race.
Just lucky it turned out that MMRS was putting on a race at Muttco another favorite track for me.
I raced my Wheelsport KTM 65SXS to 1st in all four Moto’s of 65 10-11, and 65 GP for two 1st place overalls. Then in 85 7-11 I had an awesome battle with Estaban Racine 710, and he made a pass in Moto 2 but then crashed in the next corner. I was the winner in both Moto’s for another 1st overall, and he put up a good fight. He took a long time to restart his KTM 85SXS, and I almost lapped him. Man Estaban is tough because after he got going he was running the same speed and I couldn’t lap him, and he wasn’t going to let me either. Good work it will be a fun season!
Then I raced in Super Mini on my Nihilo equipped KTM 85SX and finished 6th in Moto 1 and I was super happy with that since the guys ahead were older and on 100/105 or 112cc bikes. Then in Moto 2, I went out and got a great start and was running 3rd for 4 laps then got passed and was in 4th and a huge rock showed its ugly face in a deep rut and kicked me over the bars. I guess I should have pulled that dirty tear-off from my Oakley Mayhem goggles. I am lucky my Bell Moto 9 and Atlas Prodigy neck brace proved they work. Have to retire that Moto 9 now. I got up and got back on the bike but was hurting pretty bad and rode off after a lap so I got a DNF.
I looked back at the weekend and it was full of fun with friends, I rode hard and didn’t let up, and we didn’t get rained on, and we were racing!
Also thanks to MMRS for putting on a great race!
