The Alpha Motocross Racing program announces today that Thorah Insurance Brokers LTD. has signed on as a major sponsor of their amateur racing team and recreational riding facility in the Kawartha Lakes region of Ontario.

A family owned and operated insurance brokerage, Thorah is knowledgable and passionate about Canadian motocross and motorcycles in general. They’ve spent many of weekends at the track and look to make Thorah a household name in their favourite sport—becoming a lead sponsor of the Alpha Motocross Team and track.

“We’d love to see the Alpha Motocross program grow!” begins Chris Gretton, President of Thorah Insurance Brokers Ltd.

“We’ve known Alpha Motocross’ owner Kyle (Keast) for a long time and have always enjoyed following his racing career, from his days at local amateur races to professional events across North America. He’s become a very marketable rider and in?uential personality at the track. With the launch of his family’s Alpha Motocross Riding Facility in Lindsay—and their newly formed amateur support team—it’s an excellent platform for Thorah to increase our exposure at a local, regional and national level.”

Riders and families invest a lot of money and time into racing motocross. It’s important for them to protect their investments. What better way than to deal with an insurance broker who understands the speci?c needs of a motorcycle enthusiast.

“There are many insurance brokers to choose from, but very few of them are interested in motocross and actually spend time at practice tracks or racing events,” says Gretton.

Thorah wants to see the sport grow. The Kawartha Lakes area is home to a large population of motocross and off-road riders, but there are not many legal, safe and professionally run places to ride.

“Now that the Alpha Motocross Track is opening its doors, it provides ample opportunity for riders of all ages and abilities to enjoy riding their dirt bikes,” adds Gretton. “As the of?cial insurance partner of Alpha Motocross, Thorah is proud to be able to support both the recreational rider and serious racer.”

For Alpha Motocross, this new partnership with Thorah increases their ability to support up and coming Canadian amateur racers and deliver a professional riding and training facility.

“It requires a team of motivated, enthusiastic and organized individuals to maintain a high level racing team and dirt bike track,” says Kyle Keast, manager of the Alpha program. “Thorah Insurance Brokers LTD. is committed to the recreational growth of motocross riding, and seeing young Canadians chasing their dreams at the races. It’s an encouraging thing to see new people and companies, like Thorah, stepping up to support our sport. We hope that is re?ected when it comes time for riders to consider purchasing vehicle, motorcycle or property insurance.”

The next event for the Alpha Motocross Team is scheduled for Sunday April 30th at the Moto Park Racing facility in Chatsworth, Ontario.
