What:
The Toronto Supercross is not only Round 9 of the 2017 Monster Energy Supercross Series, but it is also the biggest and most popular motorized sporting event in Canada. With over 45,000 fans jamming their way into the Rogers Centre on Saturday night, this round is one of the best attended of the entire series. Canadians love supercross and the athletes that compete in this exciting sport. When the gate drops this weekend, all of the fans will undoubtedly be on the edge of their seats as they cheer for their favourite riders.
Who:
Even though the Monster Energy Supercross Series is mostly made up of high priced teams, on the track it is strictly an individual sport where riders battle each other every Saturday night from January to May. Toronto fans are in for a real treat this weekend, as for the first time in many years almost all of the top stars are healthy. This will be sure to lead to a spectacular race as Ryan Dungey, Eli Tomac, Marvin Musquin, Jason Anderson, and the soon to be 35-year-old legend Chad Reed will be racing this weekend. Also, let’s not forget the only Canadian rider in the field, Brigden, Ontario’s Cole Thompson. Cole will be racing in the 250SX class aboard his 2016 MX2 Championship winning KTM motorcycle. Cole is a seasoned supercross rider so look for him to go for the win in front of his hometown fans.

Where:
Since 1989, the Rogers Centre has been the place of some of the World’s top sporting events. From breathtaking baseball games, to Grey Cup Championship games, to entertaining World class soccer matches, this fine stadium has seen it all. This weekend the stars of supercross come to town, and if history is any guide, the excitement produced by these athletes may blow the roof right off the Rogers Centre. Supercross is the most exciting sport on the planet, and it all comes to town on Saturday night.
When:
As mentioned, the 2017 Toronto Supercross will take place this coming Saturday at the Rogers Centre. The gate will drop on the race action at 7pm, however the riders will first take to the track at noon as they begin their practice and qualifying sessions. Any ticket will get you in early to watch practice and qualifying, so come down to the stadium early and make a day of it. The action will be intense throughout the entire day. You won’t want to miss a moment of it.

Why:
This is an easy one. We believe everyone should travel to the Rogers Centre on Saturday for the Monster Energy Supercross Series, simply because supercross is the most exciting sport on the planet. With riders banging handlebars while flying 80 feet through the air on their 220 pound two-wheeled rocketships, there is very little room for error. These athletes are also the fittest and determined humans in sport. With the grace of a dancer and the courage of a warrior, the modern day supercross rider will do anything to be successful. This is why over a million people jam into stadiums across North America each year to watch this incredible sport. Prices start at $10 and good seats are still available online at www.ticketmaster.ca, in person at the Rogers Centre Box Office (Gate 9), or by phone 1-855-985-5000.For more info go to: www.SupercrossLIVE.com
