After having to sit out the race last weekend in Anaheim, Cole Thompson took the week to recover before showing up to the Oakland SX ready to race. Right away Cole looked very comfortable and showed it with a strong 4th in his heat race. In the main event, Cole got a great jump off the gate, but was forced wide in turn one and got shuffled back to 15th. From there, he put his head down and had his best race of 2016. Cole reached the first turn in great position in the main event. However, because he was on the outside of all the fast riders, Cole got pushed wide and his good start quickly turned into a bad start.
Between his Slaton Racing KTM and his 2016 Fox Racing gear, Cole is one of the best looking riders on the track in 2016.
After crashing a few times last weekend at Anaheim 2, Cole was very smooth during the Oakland practice sessions this weekend.
