Behind the Lens With James Lissimore- Chilliwack Arenacross

As the 2015 Future West Moto AX Championships wrapped up this past weekend in Chilliwack, BC, the action was hot as usual. This 8 round series has produced some of the best racing we’ve ever seen indoors, and when all was said and done in Chilliwack, Cycle North Honda rider Ross Johnson took home his third AX title in Canada. As he’s been all series long, our own James Lissimore was on hand and provided a few photos of what went down inside Heritage Park Arena.

For the second time during this series, FMX rider Kris Foster suited up for some AX racing.

With a bigger floor to work with inside the Heritage Park Arena, the very cool over/under jump was a great edition to the track.

American rider Brad Nauditt had a great series in 2015 and now will return to the USA to prepare for the Monster Energy SX Series.

Throughout the 2015 Future West Moto AX Series, Cycle North Honda rider Ross Johnson was relentless in his pursuit of his third Canadian AX title.

Even with the bigger track in Chilliwack, there still wasn’t too much room for the riders as they headed into the first turn.

With a podium position in his sights, Maple Ridge Motorsports Kawasaki rider and new daddy Ryan Lockhart was on the gas in Chilliwack.

As it was during each and every round in this series, the racing was close and full of excitement in Chilliwack.

Ross Johnson did a great job of defending his AX title in 2015. It would be great to see Ross racing the Canadian Nationals again in 2016, we hope someone gives this awesome rider some support.

Even a trip to the hospital couldn’t keep Ross Johnson from claiming his third Canadian AX Championship in Chilliwack.
