CIMX Final Announcement

CIMX is very disappointed to announce that in light of all the unrest and confusion and
some final last moment issues it will not continue to run its 6 round plus 1 championship
race series for 2013. The series has been planned for a long period of time and had a
very good business plan to sustain it for a long period with great incentives, prizing and
trophies for the riders and flexibility for the tracks. Late into the planning of the series
came another unexpected outdoor series. We struggled with many obstacles but
decided to still run a 6 round plus 1 championship series but very recently it was found
out that yet another race was to be pulled. We felt at this point it has become a series
that will not service the riders well and the constant conflict makes it not worth pursuing.
We have struggled greatly with this decision for the riders sakes and the people that
have supported us both on a personal level and a sponsorship level. We are very sorry
to all for canceling the series but in light of this last challenge we have decided to let
CIMX watch from the sidelines. If you the riders are unhappy with this please let your
track/club and their executives know what you want.
Travis, Jeanine and Hans
On a more personal note from Travis. This is a very hard dream to let go of. Everything
we have done and planned comes from the thought of how I want to be treated as a
racer/rider and have a quality sustainable series to ride in for years to come. It is also
the dream of seeing the involved clubs/tracks successful and growing. It seems for
whatever reason the obstacles encountered to achieve it have become tough to
conquer at least for the time being. The results do not equal the effort.
I recently saw an interview with Nascar legend, Richard Petty. He talked of trying
relentlessly to see a 4th generation Petty race cars on his level but constant obstacles
kept stopping it from happening. He concluded by saying that when God puts a period
at the end of a sentence you need to stop putting a question mark (no matter the
reason) and live with that answer. I think I have reached this point for now but I am truly
sorry to all the riders, sponsors, and clubs this decision will effect. Maybe in the future if
that period in the sentence is removed we will continue CIMX.
I also want to thank Hans Wegener for the incredible help and devotion to forming CIMX
and for getting to know him and his dedication to make this sport better.
