Making the series longer and putting both the western and eastern girls together again would make for some unbelievable racing! I am excited just thinking about it because all of us who got to experience the series when it was together have many memories of how much fun it was and how good the racing was. I think we have proved this past year that the numbers are up and podium finishes could go to a number of different girls out there. Everyone that lines up at these races works their butts off to conquer their own goals they’ve set out for themselves, whether that be doing better than the previous year, getting a top 10 finish, going after podium finishes or chasing the Championship title. Nothing is set in stone yet (this is me doing some wishful thinking) but let’s hope we keep the ball rolling and improve on the hard work that has been done to keep this series alive.
On another note, it has been just over 10 1/2 months from when I tore my Achilles tendon in half. Months of retraining to walk and move around like I had before are finally paying off. Things are looking up, and to top it all off I had my very first ride back on a dirt bike last Friday. Brendon let me ride his 450. I have been told that the tendon can’t handle a full amount of pulling force yet so I’m restricted from jumping. As the tendon is not strong enough to pull my foot high enough to shift, I had to ride around in second gear. Even though I was just riding around I felt like I haven’t left the bike at all. The motions came back naturally and the new found love I have for this sport is more than ever! So happy to be back!!!! 🙂 🙂
