Coming into Round 12 in Arlington Cooper Webb was most certainly on a roll. Having won four of the past five races, the ball in the 450SX class was firmly in Webb’s court. It was time for riders like Ken Roczen and Eli Tomac to step up and put an end to Webb’s recent dominance. When the gate dropped on the 450SX main event it appeared to be Roczen’s night as he led Webb and Tomac early. Roczen was riding smooth and was in complete control of the race, while Webb and Tomac battled hard for second. However, with a few laps to go Webb broke free of Tomac, caught Roczen, and within a few laps, he made an aggressive pass and rode away with his third win in a row. Now with just five rounds to go Webb has a 15 point lead over Roczen. As he’s been for most of this 2021 Monster Energy Supercross Series, Matt Wellumson was in Arlington and sent us these great photos.
