As with every race, the opening Supercross of 2020 brought us action both on and off the track. If you ever get an opportunity to travel to a round of SX, our advice to you is to try to obtain a pit pass, then take some time to walk around the paddock. This area, especially at Angel Stadium, is jam packed with activities and very cool things to see. Over the years the folks that run the Monster Energy Supercross Series have really ramped up their weekly ‘Fan Fest’ with bands playing, a Toyota BMX Contest, and of course a plethora of displays that feature all of the products involved in our sport. Also, there are all of the bikes of SX that are sitting pretty under the race teams’ tents for you to look at, and if you’re really fortunate then you may see one of your favourite riders walking around as they prepare for their big day of racing. For a look at what went on away from the track at Anaheim 1, here is a collection of behind the scenes photos by James Lissimore.
