2022 Canadian MX Tour Series Dorva MX Drumheller, Alberta June 12, 2022

Huber Motorsports Thor/Kawasaki/Pro Circuit Round Two of the 2022 Triple Crown Series.

Caleb Vankoughnett #356- KX 65/85

Mechanic: Chris Vankoughnett

Caleb had a good week training in Ontario before heading to Drumheller Alberta for round two.  He started off the day learning the challenging track in practice and was excited for the races.    Caleb showed the KX65 power by getting top three starts all day long and finishing 5th overall in the 10-13 age group and 5th overall in the open class.

Caleb has been making new friends traveling to these new venues, along with being a great spoke person for our team and business partners.  We look forward to seeing lots of new KX65’s at the races when we return in 2023.

Dylan Rempel #138- KX250

Mechanic: Jadon Brown

With the domination Dylan showed last week in the intermediate class his focus will now be on racing only in the pro class these next few weeks before the E-Can in Quebec July 28th, where he will compete in both classes.  This season Dylan will continue working on goals we have set for him in the future as the transition from amateur to professional racing is a big step. We hope that our guidance will keep him from injuries and help him become a future champion.

Dylan qualified in the top five in practice and was ready for the 3–15-minute moto format that we ran this weekend.   With a good start, Dylan made some quick passes and finished in 5th place for career best moto finish.  With confidence from a great first moto Dylan was anxious for a great start and rounded the first turn in third place before contact in turn two resulted in a crash.  After the crash Dylan charged from last to 17th.   The final moto was a struggle from bad gate pick and Dylan working through the pack again where he was passing for tenth and contact caused another crash and with the short 15-minute moto he was only able finish 22nd.   It was a good day of experience for Dylan with the short moto’s and learning and finished the weekend 16th overall.

Tanner Ward  #84- KX 450

Mechanic: Tanner Brook

Tanner spent time on Saturday with Caleb and Dylan while learning about racing new tracks and how to set up bikes for different type track conditions.  Tanner was able execute top ten starts in all three races and make some passes on a very difficult track with 7-8-7 finishes for 7th overall.   Tanner had been recovering from a mid week crash that happened at home practicing and we look forward round three and better results.

We would like to ask everyone to keep our fellow Team Green rider Brock Leitner in their thoughts and prayers. He was seriously injured while qualifying on Sunday morning at Drumheller Alberta.

Canadian Kawasaki Motors and the local dealer network across Canada will continue supporting multiple Team Green riders.  Thor/Kawasaki/Pro Circuit race program will be available for track side support and guidance at each race weekend and will host a Team Green dinner at the Walton Trans Can for all those who can attend.
