Kaven Benoit signs with KTM Canada!

KTM Canada is happy to announce that Kaven Benoit continues to ride Orange in 2013—and he’s been promoted to the KTM Factory Racing Team!

Even though Benoit didn’t compete at the first four rounds of the CMRC Motocross Nationals in 2012, due to injuries suffered in snocross, he only needed five races to prove to fans, sponsors and KTM that he is, indeed, the fastest Canadian in the MX2 class. At Gopher Dunes, his first national of the year, Benoit led almost every lap of the first moto to take the win. From there, Benoit would go on to win four more motos, claim two overalls and finish on the podium in 9 of 10 motos.

In fact, if you only counted the five Eastern rounds, Kaven Benoit would have been your 2012 MX2 champion. For 2013, Benoit has his best chance yet to win his first Canadian title, as he’s racing a complete season with KTM Canada’s Factory Racing Team.

“I’ve always had a big place in my heart for motocross,” says Benoit on his love of racing. “When I was little, I was dreaming about winning a Canadian championship. Now I have everything needed to make this happen; the team, the bike and a chance to ride and train down south before the Canadian season begins. I’m on the best program right now in Canada, with the KTM Red Bull Royal Distributing Fox Racing Team. I couldn’t be happier!”

For many reasons, it is very important to keep Benoit in the KTM family. “The goal is to win, obviously, and Kaven has the speed, fitness and commitment to make it happen,” says KTM Canada’s Racing Manager, Andy White. “Complementing his skills on a bike, Kaven is a great ambassador and role model in the Quebec racing scene. So many young riders look up to him and he always has time for fans, media and sponsors. We’re excited to give Kaven all of the tools needed to achieve his dream of winning a Canadian National Championship.”
