Mail It In Friday!

I am going to tackle the elephant.

When I left CMRC, Ryan Gauld gave his tip of the hat to me. I will do the same for him. This week MXP editor Ryan Gauld departed with MXP. I am not going into the sides, fact is he is no longer working here. It is a blow. He is a hard working guy, who is polarizing, engaging, annoying, hyper, calming, rational and non rational. Mostly though he  is passionate. Passionate about his sport.

For anyone leaving or starting a new path, there is no certainty but there is always opportunity. I know that Ryan has a lot of opportunity, he has a lot of skin in this game and will bring a lot to someones team. As he knows, I know and anyone who works in Canadian motocross knows this is a very small industry and when the dust clears….well you never know.

Lets get to this, shall we?

A couple of Canucks are hanging out down in the land of motocross starts. James Lissimore and Steve Matthes of Pulpmx have been visiting Timmy Ferry, Ryan Villopoto and Chad Reed. It is a pretty cool, behind the scene look.  Look HERE.

Go get em Jimmy!

The East Coast 250cc Supercross Series is getting thinned out a little more. This is a good thing for Cole Thompson and Nicky Beatty, Nicky has decided to travel to Houston, which will make lots of Canadian fans happy.

The field has really diminished. Dean Wilson is out with an injury, Josh Hill is out with an injury suffered in Tdot, Kyle Peters crashed on the break this week and he is outta here, and now Jimmy Decotis is off to the Netherlands to contest the GPs. Jimmy, who is a little height challenged, will have to adapt to talking into beautiful blonde women’s navels…good luck Jimmy!

London Ontario’s Jolene Van Vugt always makes the rest of our lives look… well, lame.

My Big News 🙂 My New World!

A lot of people have been asking me why I’m not on tour right now with the crew doing Nitro Circus Live and this would be why. I have an amazing opportunity to be apart of the awesome new Global X-Games in Woman’s EnduroX and I am so very excited for this new challenge and experience!

Oh yeah, Jolene my life is crazy and exciting too! I slow rolled a stop sign in the van today taking the kids to school….Someone shoot me.

Not going to lie, this weekend is a little slow in the moto world so we snipped a few photos from facebook. What did we do before twitter and facebook and instagram…I feel like I should be googling that question.

Jeremy Medaglia doing a little scrub a dub dub. He may do some damage this year.

Not sure it makes him the new odds on title favorite but Tyler Medaglia has very defined quadriceps. Just saying.

Tried to catch up with HAF owner Mitch Cooke. Apparently he is busy working as an astronaut and training mermaids to ride unicorns.

A reminder to everyone headed to Gopher Dunes this weekend for practice.
