PR: Team Yamaha Southland Powersports – Jared Stock #38

Round 3 Calgary AB

With a mid pack start in moto one I had a lot of work ahead of me.  On the first lap I was splashed and water managed to get in behind my first tear off.  I tried my best with double vision for about five laps before pulling over for another pair of goggles.  With the tight racing in the MX1 class, making a quick pit stop lost me quite a few positions.  My efforts after my pit stop landed me in 18th spot by the end of moto one.  Moto two started off much more like I have been anticipating coming across the line in 5th place.  After a big bobble in one corner I dropped back into 10th place.  I continued to ride to the best moto of my career, battling my way back into 8th position.  Having a comfortable 8th on the last lap I got a bit to comfortable and lost the front end with two corners to go.  I got the bike up and running, losing two positions and finished up 10th in the moto.  With my 18-10 moto finish I ended up 13th overall, and moved up into 18th in the series.

I would like to thank Southland Powersports, Yamaha, Ironhand Drilling, Competition Service/SDi, Shift MX, Elemental Fitness, Vanquish MX, Sosa, FMF, Arnette, Kermaxx, IMX, and Decal Works.
