Scott 350 Series Gear Review

By Cale Barnes

I have worn many types of gear in the past and all over the spectrum. I was very pleased when I first stepped into the new 350 gear set. The new colorways Scott offers in their 2016 line up are really cool and definitely grab attention on the track.

The SCOTT 350 Pant combines tough construction with stretch and vented panels for comfort, regardless of how intense the race gets. It features leather inner knees for added durability as well as ribbed spandex in the knees to accommodate knee braces.  Just as stated by Scott, some standout features that I really liked about the pants was that the inner liner was attached at the bottom to the pants inner shell, this helps to prevent the liner from snagging on your knee braces or turning inside out when pulling the pants off.

The knee area is very comfortable and offers ample room for knee braces, and the pants themselves have additional built in padding. Also, the leather inner knee guards cover a large area which is needed to protect from the heat of the exhaust pipe.

As for the Jersey, it was very comfortable and had no restrictions. The 350 Jersey also vented nicely which is important. I personally liked the collar with the V neck and a triangle fabric piece to fill in across the bottom of the collar. Also the elastic cuffs on the sleeves were a nice touch.

On the track I was just as happy with the gear’s performance while riding. It was very comfortable with no tight or restrictive points and nothing got caught up anywhere as I was moving around on the bike. Scott is a great brand in the Canadian market so take a look at what they have to offer next time you’re shopping for gear. You can also watch Scott rider Liam O’Farrell race the MX2 class at the East rounds of the 2015 Rockstar Energy Drink Motocross Nationals.

In Canada, you can get yourself into a set of Scott 350 gear very reasonably priced at only $31.96 for the Jersey and $103.96 for the Pants.  With these great prices, you can’t go wrong!
