Round 2: Whispering Pines was a step in the right direction for me. After a bad crash in qualifying, contacting another riders machine in the sand section, I still felt strong coming into moto one. Off to a bad start I continued to work my way through the pack and battling the track. After thirty plus two was up I had worked my way into 14th. Going into moto two I knew with a good start I could improve on my finish. With a good start in progress I was clipped by another rider from the outside, causing me to high side and become a part of the start straight. My right leg and foot kept me from finishing the moto. With that dnf I ended up 19th overall. It is now three days later and I know I will be healthy for round three. I would like to thank Southland Powersports, Yamaha, Ironhand Drilling, Competition Service/SDi, Shift MX, Elemental Fitness, Vanquish MX, Sosa, FMF, Arnette, Kermaxx, IMX, and Decal Works.
