Top 5 for Kiniry at Deschambault

PRESS RELEASE — Vaughan, ON July 29, 2013
A fifth overall at Round 7 of the CMRC Nationals at Deschambault, QC on Sunday helped strengthen Team Rockstar Energy OTSFF Yamaha Motovan.com’s Bobby Kiniry’s hold on second place in the MX1 points standings with two rounds left on the schedule.

For the team’s MX2 riders Shawn Maffenbeier and Richard Grey, Deschambault saw them claim only one top-10 moto result each.

The black cloud that descended on Grey at Round 5 continued to plague him, dumping a second DNF of the season on him and dropping him from eighth in the current points standings to 10th.

Maffenbeier, who missed the first four rounds of the nationals due to a shoulder injury, managed to move up two slots in the MX2 standings, however, thanks to a great second moto in which he placed third.
