Ten Four Racing’s Jarrett May and Fraser Stewart brings us a cool photo report from the weekends action in Vernon, BC.
The beautiful West Coast , Vancouver Island is where we live. For us to go racing BC Ferries is always our path to the Mainland races.
Our 5 hour drive from the BC Ferries terminal at Horseshoe Bay to Vernon consisted of a lot of this………
Time for a pre race ride with Victoria Hett, Malcolm and Thomas. We had the course dialed! All we needed was some rain!
We found some mud!! A picture of the majestic forests of the Bardolf riding area near Vernon, B.C. Race organizer Monty Hendrickson works hard in the back ground cleaning up another line around the mud hole.
One of the MANY 2 foot + high logs the “A” riders were welcomed with.
Here May and Fraser look out towards the sky’s above Lake Okanagan wishing for some rain. I think Rob Hett answered our wish as the rains started coming down in the late hours.

after a day of deathly dust our Air filters were toast. Here the guys oil up some clean filters with our Bel Ray filter Oil and clean up the bikes to make them look “tip top” for Sunday with the Bel Ray detailer. We are loving the Bel Ray products!
Fraser had the holeshot but ended up making the same mistake as May on his first lap but caught on after lap 1. Here he rides the log in the Enduro Cross Section. Fraser could have been a front runner without the 1st lap mishap but he ended up with a solid 4th place by race end.
May pulled it off!! 104 wins the Rob Hett Memorial Squealin’ Pig Hare Scramble! May on the win after the race , “ It honestly means SO much to me to take the overall victory at this years Squealin’ Pig. My first ever motorcycle racing win was at the 2005 Squealin’ Pig. I remember that race like it was yesterday. Rob and Julie Hett handed me my first place trophy and I was so very elated. My addiction for racing started right then. So many great memories at this racing location because of Mr. Rob Hett, his Family, and the race organizers that have carried on his legacy. I will be back to defend next year!”
Fraser thanks our loyal sponsors after he receives his 4th place trophy! FS5 is excited to go racing again at the Piston Run in Chilliwack on June 7th . He really wants to keep improving his racing , team Leader May preaches to him , “ the best way to improve your racing skills is to race race RACE”.
May gives Victoria, Jordan and Malcolm Hett hugs after his emotional speech on the race, their father Rob Hett and how much Rob did for the sport of Off Road Motorcycle Racing in British Columbia. He will be missed.
It’s always sad to leave, especially after such a wonderful weekend. But, en route back to Vancouver Island ( The Rock).
It was hard for May to leave home for 2 days, but it feels great to come to see this on his new born son Jayden. Big thanks to Ride Industries for the generous gift for newest May.
