With so many awesome images and videos coming out of the first two rounds of the 2015 Rockstar Energy Drink Motocross Nationals, it’s hard to narrow down a few of our favourites. After going through the all of the photos that James Lissimore sent in after Kamloops and Nanaimo, here are my Wednesday Fav’s brought to you by Yamaha Motor Canada Ltd.
I chose this one simply because as a Father myself I can certainly appreciate this post race conversation going on between Jeremy Medaglia and his Dad Derek after a hard fought moto in Nanaimo.
So far in two rounds of the CMRC West Women’s National Series we’ve witness some great racing. While Kennedy Lutz has been the fastest rider overall, Sara King snuck in there last weekend in Nanaimo and won the first moto. I love this photo because Lissimore captures just how hard these girls are going for it.
This photo from Kamloops was taken just after Brett Metcalfe passed Tyler Medaglia for the lead in moto 1 of the MX1 class. The track was a nasty mess at round one and these two riders showed incredible speed and fitness as they both put themselves on the podium.
Being away from home as a teenager can be a tough thing for anyone. However, when you’re a 17 year old pro motocross rider and you’re on the road with pressures to deal with, sometimes you need a little guidance. Here Kevin Tyler lends an ear to his star sophomore rider Dylan Wright in Kamloops.
Maybe it’s an Australian thing but like his fellow Countryman Chad Reed, Brett Metcalfe is a perfect mixture of old school grit and new school style. Here Metty stays low over a Nanaimo jump last weekend.
Everybody loves a comeback. I’m sure a year ago while he was recovering from knee surgery, winning a national again seemed like a far away dream. However, Cole Thompson proved on the weekend that you can accomplish great things if you work hard and never give up.
