Troy Lee Designs’ Cole Seely Back on Podium in San Diego

San Diego (February 13, 2016) – Troy Lee Designs rider Cole Seely made the final stop in Southern California count as he returned to the podium inside Petco Park for the sixth round of the Monster Energy Supercross. After a short hiatus from the top 3, Seely collected his best finish in 2016 with a second-place result.
It was a beautiful and perfect day in San Diego, and Seely was eager to get his No. 14 machine back on the podium. After finishing second in his heat race, Seely nearly grabbed the holeshot in the Main Event. He stayed right with the leader and kept him honest, finishing only 2 seconds back after 20 laps.“I finally got a good start and was able to put in my own laps,” said Seely. “I tried to keep Dungey in my sights and he wasn’t too far in front of me at the end. It’s great to get back on the podium and it would be even better if I could back this up next weekend. Last year I started to gain my momentum when we went east, so I’m looking forward to it.”
Seely’s great finish moved him up two spots in the point’s standings, currently sitting fourth overall. The series now starts its trek east as the Monster Energy Supercross makes its annual stop at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas next weekend, February 20.Seely was decked out in the limited edition SE Air LE Freedom Red/White/Blue Racewear and the SE Helmet.
