As the 2016 Monster Energy Supercross Series winds down, Ryan Dungey is definitely enjoying his best season of his career. Saturday in Santa Clara was no different as Dungey grabbed the early lead, then held off the advances of Ken Roczen before pulling away to take the win. Fans are getting to witness Dungey at his absolute best, and it’s very special. For Santa Clara we used a new photographer who thought of this assignment as the experience of a lifetime. Her name is Krystyn Slack and here are her photos from Santa Clara.

sc track — The riders and teams walk the track inside the beautiful Santa Clara stadium.

sc track1 — The track on Saturday was a fast one and a short one and it definitely kept the riders on their toes.

sc troops — The Troops get ready to kick off the night of racing.

sc gate — After a week off, everyone was excited for the gate to drop in Santa Clara.

sc girls — The Monster girls make sure the Santa Clara fans are ready to watch some Supercross.

sc start — Fans were definitely excited to see James Stewart back on the track.

sc stewart — Stewart was having a pretty good main event until his Suzuki quit running and James had to DNF.

sc wey — It’s great to see the old dog Nick Wey back on the race track. His results have been very decent since he returned to the series in Daytona.

sc tomac — After winning the Daytona SX in early March, Eli Tomac has appeared lost and he is without a doubt waiting for the outdoor nationals.

sc osborne — During practice Zach Osborne shows us a little one leg swag off one of the many Santa Clara jumps.

sc reed — Chad Reed does one of his very cool Nac-Nac’s during opening ceremonies. The 34 year old Reed would go on to finish a solid 4th in the main event.

sc anderson — Jason Anderson had a great night in Santa Clara and finished 3rd in the 450SX main event.

sc lites start — The 250SX West class was back on the track in Santa Clara and provided some of the best racing of the night.

sc dungey — Ryan Dungey was smooth all day and when the gate dropped for the main event, he rocketed to yet another win.

sc musquin — Marvin Musquin was loose and confident during opening ceremonies in Santa Clara.

sc grant — Regardless of how Josh Grant finishes, the fans love to watch some of his huge whips!

sc ktm crew — The Canadian Orange Brigade crew were out in full force in Santa Clara.

sc ktm team1 — It was great to see some cool Canadians enjoying some California SX.

sc barcia — Another rider who was back on the track in Santa Clara was JGR Yamaha rider Justin Barcia.

sc bogle — Geico Honda rider Justin Bogle grabbed an early lead in the main event but he was quickly passed by Ryan Dungey.

sc podium — Your Santa Clara 450SX podium.

sc celebration — Zach Osborne does some celebrating after his Santa Clara podium finish.

sc osborne1 — Even the cheques in SX are big.

sc winner — Ryan Dungey and Roger DeCoster seem to be making a pretty good team as they rewrite the record books.
