As a host of Canadian riders converge on the famous Gatorback Cycle Park for the 45th Annual Thor Winter Olympics, their motivation is high as everyone wants to secure some good results in the final big amateur event of 2016. As our riders tackled the SX portion of this event early this week, photographer Krystyn Slack was on hand and sent us these photos of a few of our Canadian riders.

Racing a Suzuki RM85 for the first time, Preston Masciangelo rode very well in the SX part of the Mini O’s, but unfortunately suffered some bad luck

Preston looks very comfortable on his new Suzuki, especially considering that he’s only been riding them for two weeks.

Tanner Ward was lucky enough to find a little room during the start of one his motos.

After training down south for the past month, Rockstar Yamaha rider Marco Cannella rode very well in his opening motos finishing up in 6th and 9th in his classes.

Marco shows the Gatorback crowd that Canadians aren’t afraid to jump.

Racing his Canadian Orange Brigade Troy Lee Designs KTM, Tanner Ward is looking for better results as the event now moves to the large outdoor track.
