Don't Miss

Marty Smith, R.I.P. (1956-2020)

We are deeply saddened by the news that Marty Smith and his wife Nancy passed away last night in a dune buggy accident in the California desert. If you followed motocross in the 1970’s then Marty Smith was probably your hero. Blessed with surfer like good looks and great style both on the track as well as off of the track, Smith was not only a three-time National Champion in the USA, but he was also one of the first true ‘stars’ of motocross. He rose to fame as a teenage phenom, winning the first two AMA 125cc National Motocross Championships (1974, ’75) and then adding the AMA 500cc National Championship in 1977, all while riding for Team Honda. Marty and his wife were childhood sweathearts and they both will be missed very much. We will follow this story closely and will have more details as they become available.
