Canadian Kawasaki Motors Inc Presents Behind The Lens: 2026 Denver Supercross

This past weekend, Hunter Lawrence grabbed the holeshot in the 450SX main event and never looked back. His closet rival in the points standings, Ken Roczen, did his best to finish second, but he was never a challenge to Lawrence for the win. After his win in Denver, Lawrence now sits just one point behind Roczen in the 450SX points standings, with only one round remaining. However, before we move onto to the final round in Salt Lake City this weekend, let’s take a look back the Denver Supercross through the lens of our staff photographer Matt Wellumson.

It’s hard to believe that there is only one more gate drop in 2026.

Bam Bam is back and he looks as good as ever!

Justin Cooper has been very fast in recent weeks, now all he needs is a main event win!

Haiden Deegan won the 250SX West main event in Denver and now only has one more 250SX race left.

Eli Tomac forces his way past his teammate to eventually finish on the podium.

Preston Masciangelo was one of three Canadian riders racing in Denver. He and Thompson made the 250SX main event!

Jorge Prado has proven to be a good starter, as well as a rider who is hard to pass.

After solid second half of the 450SX series, Kenny leads Hunter by just one-point heading into SLC.

Once again, Chase Sexton rode a quiet main event to finish inside the Top 5.

Malcolm Stewart has been very fast in the past few races, but hasn’t been able to finish on the podium.

Cole Thompson didn’t not get a great start in the main event, but rode well to finished 15th.

Cole’s bike graphics were the best of the day in Denver!

It was great to see Eli Tomac back for his home race and to watch the fans cheered him onto the podium!

Cooper Webb rode well in Denver, but once again left with nothing to show for it.

After tangling with Prado late in the main event, Webb gave a ‘Touchdown” sign inside Bronco Stadium.

The thin mile high air was perfect for racing on Saturday night.

Will it be Kenny or Hunter standing victorious this weekend in SLC?
