Hope you all had a great Christmas holiday and I wish you a happy New Year. Mine was busy as usual, lots of travelling to visit everyone, indulging in endless amounts of food, getting to see how much all of my cousins have grown, but overall I enjoyed my time I had with the family. I feel like this winter has been the coldest one I have ever lived. With weather wind chills as cold as -50, it really doesn’t make for fun days. Brendon and I would usually go to the gym in the mornings before work but as the days got colder the motivation to get out of a nice warm bed in the morning is at an all time zero in this weather. We have worked up the courage to get out sledding a couple times. The first was in when it was -35 and the second time -27. After layers and layers of warm sled gear, the first couple minutes were good, but after about 10 minutes in that cold it was hard to do anything. With our hands freezing and goggles fogging up, it’s frustrating because that adrenaline riding we get from sledding is near impossible to do so far this winter. Take advantage of your -10 or warmer weather you guys get because in this province it hasn’t happened very often.
On a brighter note, let me paint this picture of our adorable dog Zeus. He is our baby, and when I mean baby you can probably already tell he is spoiled rotten. He has his own couch in the house and I love to dress him up when I can, especially since it is so cold in this province (don’t worry he loves his clothes). I found this beautiful red sweater at a shop in town; let me also say that it is hard to find things to fit him. He’s 135 lbs of pure goodness! When I looked at this cute sweater that was an XXL I thought for sure that it would fit him. Well, when I got home I put it on and it wasn’t even near close to fitting. I had to cut the arms and the neck to get over his head, but now it has become his superman cape!
Brendon’s mom is a dog lover as well so when it comes to her grand dog she buys him things as well such as his new winter coat. While you might be shaking your heads but anyone who owns a dog would know what I am talking about when it comes to loving them like a child. In closing, Camille and I are working hard on the Women’s Series for 2014 both West and East sides along with the help of Sylvain Brodeur. You will be hearing news in the next couple weeks of some sponsors that have jumped on board this year. I hope everyone had a great holiday season.
