Husqvarna Canada Presents Behind The Lens From Red Bud

Red Bud! Red Bud! Red Bud! That was the chant you could hear all day around the track on Saturday during the 4th of July weekend motocross classic. For years, Red Bud Track and Trail has been the crown jewel of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Series and 2019 was no different. From mid-week on the fans begin arriving and the excitement builds until the first gate drop on Saturday. This race is like no other in the USA, and if this past weekend was any indication, it will be for a long time.

The racing was once again incredible at Red Bud, and when all was said and done, Eli Tomac and Dylan Ferrnandis were your big winners in the 450 and 250 class respectively. After hosting the MXON in 2018, the Red Bud track went through some big changes and is much different than it used to be. Tacky, deep ruts have given way to soft, loamy berms, and the once fast left-hand first turn is now a slow 180 degree right hand corner. Thankfully, famous obstacles like Larocco’s Leap have remained intact, although it’s a lot less death defying these days. Red Bud is definitely not the beast that it used to be prior to last year’s MXON event, but it’s still a track that every rider looks forward to racing. Our trusty American photographer, Matt Wellumson, was on hand and sent us these great photos from the infamous RED BUD!
