‘Tis the Season With Jeremy Medaglia

Have you ever wondered what people in the Canadian motocross industry think about Christmas? Well, wonder no more as over the next few weeks we’re going to reach to some pro riders and industry people to ask them some key festive questions. This week we’ve caught up with the Medaglia brothers. On Tuesday we spoke to Tyler and today it’s newly signed GDR Honda Canada rider and brother Jeremy’s turn.

MXP: What is your best Christmas memory as a child?

JM: Just waking up as a kid with my family, all that excitement was so awesome. Every Christmas was very special, so I guess just the memory of how excited I used to get.

Are you a big Christmas person or not?

For sure I am. As you get older, rarely does everyone from the family get together so it’s always nice when that can happen. Especially these days with my niece and nephew, watching them enjoy Christmas is very cool.

Where will you be spending Christmas this year?

I will be spending it at home in Kemptville, ON. Tyler and his family will be coming down so we’ll have a big Medaglia Christmas. I can’t wait.

What is the best Christmas gift you ever received?

The best Christmas gift I think I ever got was an XR50 back in the day. I almost had more fun riding pit bikes when I was a kid than my race bikes.

Jeremy is very happy that Santa will be putting a brand new Honda under his tree.

Have you even started your Christmas shopping yet?

No, not even close, haven’t even thought about it to be honest. Last minute is how I do it every year.

Would you rather race another Regina mudder or have to go to Wal-Mart on Christmas Eve?

I would take a Regina Mudder all day long (especially since I won that race)…I don’t like crowds at all and that would just be chaotic.

What do you want for Christmas this year?

Nothing in particular, I feel like everything that I want and need I already have.

What is your favourite Christmas movie?

The Grinch, for sure…just one of those movies I’ve watched every year and it never seems to get old.

Be honest, do you wrap presents yourself?

Of course I do, however I definitely get no style points on them, though. I can get the job done and that’s all that matters.

If you ever came face to face with Santa, what would you ask him?

I would ask him if he wouldn’t mind taking a few of my Dad’s deer home with him so I have less to worry about when he goes away.
