Whispering Pines Raceway Kamloops, BC – Media Day Pics

We are mere hours away for the first ever Saturday National.

A press conference before each round, continued today at Whispering Pines Raceway for round 2 of the Monster Energy Motocross nationals. The top 3 from MX2 and Mx1 classes, along with Woman’s Champion SMX Schrader’s TLD Yamaha’s Denaye Giroux answered questions from the media. Once again it was a hit with the fans. Here are a few pics from today.

Yamalube Blackfoot Direct TLD's Jared Allison rode amazing last weekend and hit the 3rd tier of the box in MX2. "I'm ready to chase for the top spot this weekend in Kamloops," shared Jared.

Royal Distributing KTM Red Bull Fox 2011 MX1 champion Colton Facciotti was happy with the start to the 2012 season by grabbing the runner-up spot in MX1 in Nanaimo. "I'm ready to get back on top. Last weekend was tough, but I'm happy to make it through, and be in the position I'm in," explained Colton.

 

"I'm so ready to win this championship and back up my first ever title," said Denaye Giroux. She was all smiles under the tent.

 

"My weekend couldn't have been tougher last weekend. Third is not what I wanted, but with how it all went, I'll take it," shared Rockstar OTSFF Yamaha Motovan.com's Bobby Kiniry.

 

“It feels so good to be back racing in Canada. I feel great, and am ready to chase for this title in every moto,” commented Monster Energy Leading Edge Kawasaki rider Kyle Beaton. Who was all smiles today.

 

Monster Energy Leading Edge Kawasaki former MX2 champion Teddy Maier is one cool cat. "Getting the overall with a 7-1 last weekend was lucky, but you need some luck to win championships," explained Maier.

 

“I’m pumped on last weekend. I trained hard for hard pack, and it paid off in Nanaimo. To go 1-1 in those conditions has me feeling super confident, and I like the Kamloops track,” shared Monster Leading Edge Kawasaki’s MX1 class point’s leader Matt Goerke.

The stag is set for the first ever Saturday national in Canada. See you all there!!
