After an incredible week of amateur racing at the 2020 Walton TransCan, on Sunday it was time for the pros to hit the track again for Round 3 of the 2020 Rockstar Energy Triple Crown MXTour Series. Unfortunately, six days in a row of nothing but sun was all Mother Nature had for us and on Sunday morning the skies opened up and turned the perfectly prepared Walton Raceway track into a muddy mess. By the time the gate dropped on the opening 250MX moto it was obvious that the riders were in for a very challenging day. However, when all was said and done, the racing was pretty good and those in attendance were able to witness a couple of ‘firsts’ at Round 3. Not only did Phil Nicoletti end Dylan Wrights six moto win streak in the 450 class, but the OTSFF Yamaha rider also took the overall win on the day. Also, GDR Honda rider Tanner Ward went 1-3 in the 250MX Class and took home his first ever overall pro national win. What started off a cool and wet Sunday, ended up being an unforgettable day in Canadian motocross. Once again James Lissimore was on hand and sent us these incredible photos.
