Well, now that the National Schedule is official it looks like the Women’s Series will continue to be three rounds out West and three rounds out East. For those of you who might have missed it, here are the Women’s Rounds again:
West Rounds:

Whispering Pines, Kamloops, BC – June 14th (Saturday)
Wildrose MX Park, Calgary, BC – June 21st (Saturday)
East Rounds:
Gopher Dunes, Courtland, ON – July 13th (Sunday)
Sand Del Lee, Richmond, ON – July 19th (Saturday)
Motocross Deschambault, QU – July 26th (Saturday)
I am super pumped that Regina was put back on the National Schedule this year for the men, this track is where one of the most epic battles in moto history went down between Blair Morgan and Tyler Medaglia. Unforgettable! Saskatchewan was really missing a national round in the province these past few years and I can only see it being bigger and better than ever. It will give us a chance to cheer for our home town boys Shawn and Zack – everyone will finally be able to see their true prairie riding styles that we have all been waiting for. Be sure to follow the Regina Motocross Club on twitter @reginamotocross for all the details, or ask Daryl Murphy how happy he is.
If you are all wondering why there isn’t a Women’s round in Regina this year we had a big debate about this, with Nanaimo being Camille’s home track and Regina being my home Province we both didn’t want to back down on either one. I really wanted a Women’s round held in Regina, I feel like we could get some Manitoba girls out and it would be great to have a round in each western province, but unfortunately with the Women having a couple rounds where they would race on a Sunday and not a Saturday was our biggest concern. We want the women to finish off the series on a Saturday because the hype is up a lot more than when it is on a Sunday. Anyone who has attended our rounds will notice that after the men are done a lot of the industry people pack up and leave, where as when we are on a Saturday everyone sticks around to watch and hang out all day. It’s unfortunate that not everyone is on board with the women’s racing yet, but it gets better each year. So hopefully next year we will get our chances at four rounds and not have to deal with any debating.
There are a good handful of racers that live on the Island and we have had high turnouts there in the past so I can’t see going to Nanaimo being an issue. If you’re going to do the series it shouldn’t matter where the races are, if you want to compete at that level you have to expect to travel. Camille and I have come up with some good ideas and sponsors are jumping on board to make the Island round well worth it.
Things are finally coming together and I can’t wait to see everyone this summer!
Another big announcement I have to make is ………………… I’m Engaged!!!! Brendon and I spent the weekend in Edmonton visiting friends and taking a relaxing weekend off to stay at the West Edmonton Mall; let me just say that this was our first EVER trip that didn’t have anything to do with moto and nothing to do with his hunting. We had a great time there and he popped the question Friday night. I was not expecting it at all, even though we have been together for years and years. I am so happy and excited to be marrying my best friend who has been through everything with me, all the ups and downs, the great times and the sad times. My training partner, riding partner, sledding partner, you name it…. He inspires me every day and can’t wait to be a part of the Arnett clan. Brendon, I wouldn’t be where I am today without you and… if anyone is asking, we haven’t set a date yet.
