The Priority Thor GASGAS Team Gets Off To A Solid Start In Calgary

The 2026 Canadian Triple Crown Series kicked off in Calgary, Alberta, where heavy rain early in the week left many questioning track conditions. Credit to the track crew, who delivered a raceable surface and set the stage for an exciting opening round.

Jamie Astudillo battled an uncomfortable feeling throughout the day as she adapted to a new track and race environment. She secured 3rd in Moto 1 before an excellent start in Moto 2 was undone by a small mistake in the deep ruts. Jamie finished 4th in the moto and 4th overall. We’re excited to watch her continue building confidence and momentum as the season progresses.

Cole Pranger qualified an impressive 5th before difficult conditions struck in Moto 1. An opening-lap crash led to multiple incidents and eventually a mechanical ending moto 1 early. Moto 2 started much better, but another small mistake left Cole chasing from behind. He fought his way back to 11th in the moto and 15th overall. The speed is there, and with cleaner execution, strong results are within reach.

Quinn Amyotte entered the motos from 11th gate pick after qualifying. Consistent riding and a solid start earned him 6th in Moto 1. Another great start in Moto 2 had Quinn running inside the top three early before an incident involving another rider dropped him back. He recovered to 8th and secured 6th overall on the day.

Tanner Ward showed strong speed from the beginning, qualifying inside the top five. A first-lap crash in Moto 1 forced him to charge through the field, eventually reaching 10th. Moto 2 saw Tanner running near the front before a mistake disrupted both Priority Thor GASGAS teammates. Tanner quickly regrouped and fought back to finish 5th, earning 7th overall for the round.

The entire crew worked tirelessly through challenging muddy conditions on Sunday. While Calgary delivered plenty of lessons, the team leaves encouraged by the speed shown across all riders and is already focused on a stronger performance this weekend as the series heads to Pilot Mound for Round 2.
