Colton Facciotti second in Hattiesburg!

Fountain, FL, (Monday, January 20, 2014) – Coming off three straight Clash for Cash wins, Johnny Moore looked to do the same in Hattiesburg, MS.  He was able to set one of the fastest lap times in practice and get wins in both motos of both the AX Pro and AX Pro Lites class, however Ricky Renner took home the title of Clash for Cash winner of the night. Three time Canadian Champion Colton Facciotti returned to racing to try his first round with the Arenacross Tour and found himself battling with Moore for the top spot throughout the night.

Johnny Moore started the night out as he normally does, getting the holeshot in the first moto of the AX Pro class. Zachary Bishop-Burnett and the Gills brothers, Dustin and Kyle, came through charging to keep up with Moore. Ricky Renner was able to make his way into third after not getting a good start. Nick Myers and Colton Facciotti battled behind Renner, with Moore and Bishop-Burnett still maintaining the top two positions. Facciotti made the pass on Renner to take second behind Moore.  In moto two of the AX Pro class, Facciotti was able to get out front early however Johnny Moore quickly started putting pressure on the Canadian rider to take over the lead. Ricky Renner finished third, Nick Myers was forth and Zeb Smith finished fifth.

In moto one of the AX Pro Lites class, Johnny Moore led the race from start to finish. Kyle Gill sat in second until Nick Myers made a strong charge to make his way up from fifth. Myers worked his was into second behind Moore, followed by Zachary Bishop-Burnett who finished third.  Moto two proved to have a similar outcome with Johnny Moore dominating once again by grabbing an early lead and maintaining that position throughout the race. Moore was followed by Nick Myers and Zachary Bishop-Burnett to round out the top three in the second moto.

In the Clash for Cash race, Ricky Renner was able to get the holeshot and lead the first few laps of the 20 lap main event.  Johnny Moore wasn’t far behind and was looking to make moves and take over the lead to maintain his current winning streak. Facciotti and Myers sat fourth and fifth, with Zachary Bishop-Burnett trying to make his way into the top five.  As Renner and Moore came intro lapped traffic, the two had to work their way through other riders and Moore moved closer to Renner.  With a few laps to go, Moore slid out before the whoops and Facciotti was able to make the pass into second. Johnny Moore quickly recovered to finish third. Ricky Renner was able to take home the Clash for Cash win, with Colton Facciotti in second, and Johnny Moore rounding out the top three.
