It was great to see the Monster Energy Supercross Series return to the land of 10,000 lakes as the State of Minnesota has provided us some incredible racing over the years. For 2017, the series headed to the brand new US Bank Stadium, where all eyes were on hometown boy Ryan Dungey. With a technical track for the riders to navigate, the main events were full of excitement for the passionate Minneapolis fans. When all was said and done, Kawasaki dominated both the 250SX and the 450SX main events as Joey Savagty and Eli Tomac stood atop the podiums at the end of the night.

Dakota Alix got a great start in the main event, unfortunately his luck ran out on lap one.Once again Jason Anderson had a very consistent night in Minneapolis.Justin Barcia was back on the race track after missing the entire series thus far.Obviously Barcia was a little rusty, however it was great to see his style back at the races.Trey Canard was another rider trying to comeback from injury in Minneapolis.With Minneapolis being the first round for the 250SX East riders, fans got to see riders like Christian Craig for the first time in 2017.Coming into Minneapolis with the points lead, Ryan Dungey did his best to stay upright on the difficult track.After a great start and some good battles with Tomac and Musquin, Dungey went on to finish up in third overall.The multi-talented Miss Supey blows some fire during opening ceremonies.Marvin Musquin shows us how to rail a sand berm in Minneapolis.Musquin would come from behind during the main event to finish in second.After spending this past off-season training with Aldon Baker, Zach Osborne appears to be a title favourite in the 250SX East class.Chad Reed and his family take a stroll around the Minneapolis track.Chad Reed didn’t have the night he was looking for in Minneapolis and finished well back.The Pro Circuit Kawasaki riders do their best to get through a difficult corner.Joey Savagty rode great in the main event and took his first win of the season.The US Bank Stadium is a thing of beauty.For the past few weeks, Eli Tomac has been on fire.With soft dirt being used for the Minneapolis track, ruts were obviously a problem.The track inside US Bank Stadium was definitely different than we’re used to seeing.Cooper Webb went down hard in Minneapolis and ended up injuring his shoulder.After finishing in 5th last weekend, Dean Wilson struggled a little in Minneapolis and finished outside of the top 10.
