Round 5 was my first time back on the bike since Edmonton, due to a successful eye surgery procedure, but for once I rode Gopher Dunes way better than previous years.

The deep sand usually throws my off my game but this year I seemed to battle through it. Both motos started off with first corner mayhem and having to come from behind.  In moto one I battled just into the top twenty before going down late in the moto.  I managed to pick myself up for a 21rst.  In moto two I came from a 33rd on the first lap and with late moto passes I progressed to finish in 17th.

I now have the #38 Yamaha 450 in 20th position in the standings, and looking to improve after round 6.
