This Sunday Motopark in Chatsworth, on will host both the final round of the Royal Distributing Canadian Cross Country Championship and the Wiesner Insurance Ontario Cross Country Championship. The top off road racers in Canada will be in attendance to dice it up with the best in Ontario. Confirmed Pro riders include; KTM’s Bobby Prochnau (BC), Honda’s Jason Schrage (AB), Husqvarna’s Ryan Graffunder (BC), Guy Giroux (PQ), Phillipe Chaine (PQ), Samuel Rosseau (PQ), the Husaberg mounted Corner Grass Racing Team – Ben Rego (BC), Cole Dobovich (AB), Lee Fryberger (AB), and in the women’s class KTM’s Chantelle Bykerk (BC).
The course will be fast and fun consisting of the full Motopark MX track and the entire trail system. This week’s rain was a blessing – it will help kill the dust that has been an issue at races across Ontario all summer – long range forcast is for a bit more light rain before the weekend and sun all weekend!
Because this round is a National event no racing license is required, and any MX motorcycle (under 94db) will be accepted. If your a Motocrosser and have tried Cross Country events in the past or would like to give it a shot this is your chance. Entry fees $45 for adults and $25 for kids – there will be classes for everyone from Pee Wee to Super Senior. Transponders are required and available for rent for $25.
There will be a number of giveaways including; $100 Wiesner Insurance Pro Holeshot award, $100 Apex KTM Amateur Holeshot award, $100 Wiesner Insurance Fastest Lap award, set of tires from Goldendtyre, prize packagages from Parts Canada and Rekluse and we will give away the Marin mountain bike to one of our Peewee riders courtesy of Royal Distributing, and as usual at all WEC events 100% Pro Payback (over $2500 has been handed out this year so far).
There will be plenty of great spectating areas and the Motopark Cafe will be open all weekend. Plan to stick around after the race to congratulate the days winners and see both the 2012 National and Ontario Champions crowned. It will be an action packed fun day for the entire family!

Afternoon Race Classes – Junior, Intermediate, Vet Master (these classes race for 2 hours) and Pro (2.5 hours)
Motopark is located just off Hwy # 6 north of the town of Chatsworth. When travelling north on Hwy # 6, turn left on Moto Park Drive. Look for the signs… you can’t miss it.
