Well, the Western swing of the 2024 Triple Crown Series is now a part of Canadian moto history. It was an exciting opening three rounds as we saw multiple battles in all of the classes. In the end, the KTM Canada duo of Jess Pettis and Kaven Benoit will take the red plates into Round 4 at Gopher Dunes in July. However, before we take a two week pause on the series, let’s look back at some incredible James Lissimore photos from Round 3 in Manitoba.
It was great to be back in Manitoba! for Round 3 of the Triple Crown Series. Your 250 Pro/Am podium from Round 3. Drew Adams is sure having fun in Canada, and his time here isn’t over yet. After finishing second last weekend, Quinn Amyotte wasn’t able to find the same success at Round 3. Julien Benek is quietly having a solid 450 series and currently sits 8th OA. After winning the opening two rounds, Kaven Benoit struggled a little at Pilot Mound. Not many people had an Elmore/Wright battle on their bingo card. Racing in his second National of the year, Tyler Gibbs rode decent at Round 3 to finish 15th OA. For the second weekend in a row Mitchell Harrison didn’t finish as high as he should’ve in the 450 class. Austin Jones had his best race of the series so far as he finished 5th OA. Once the sun came out the wind also picked up and made jumping very difficult. Wyatt Kerr has had a great start to the 2024 Triple Crown Series and currently sits 5th in points. Preston Kilroy continues to impress everyone with his solid riding in the 450 class. Jess Pettis gives him teammate some advice before the second 250 moto. Gage Linville keeps getting batter and better in the 250 Pro/Am class. It was great to see Josh Mosiman from MXA up in Canada. Mosiman was all smiles after his day as a member of the MX101 Yamaha Team, It took three rounds, but Josiah Natzke finally broke through and showed his true speed in the 450 class.Natzke and Aaron Tanti spray the bubbly at Pilot Mound. Jess Pettis rode well at Round 3, but was unable to the find the success he had in the opening two rounds, Dylan Rempel has a lot of raw speed and should be real good in the east. The inside of the first turn was tricky as it dropped away. As Aaron Tanti’s fitness improves so does his speed and results. After some overnight rain this is what the Pilot Mound track looked like Sunday morning. Tanner Ward had a tough day at Round 3 and lost some valuable points. Tiger Wood is having a great time in Canadian and so far his results have been solid. After a week of therapy, Dylan Wright was able to muster up enough strength to race Round 3.
