Last weekend, the 2024 Monster Energy Supercross Series headed to Philadelphia for the first time in over four decades. This highly anticipated round of SX did not disappoint, as both main events produced entertaining battles. Ultimately, Max Anstie was victorious in the 250SX East class, while Jett Lawrence notched another win in the 450SX class. The series heads west now for its final two rounds, with the Mile High City hosting Round 16 and Salt Lake City hosting Round 17. Max Anstie was a man on a mission at Round 15 and took a very popular win. Max and his team celebrate after his big win!Justin Barcia has had a challenging season and there is talk of him retiring at the end of 2024. The 250SX East main event had a great battle at the front of the pack for most of the race. Pierce Brown was fast in the early laps of the main event, but ended up having a big crash. At times Hayden Deegan is the fastest rider on the track, but in Philly he was unable to get to the front of the pack. After sitting out the past month with an illness it was nice to see Dylan Ferrandis back at the races. This is once again Jett’s 450SX Championship to lose. Jett lights the candles in Philly!The calm before the storm!The 180 degree sand section was exciting to watch all day long. Chase Sexton showed up at Round 15 with a new mechanic and some new speed. Although it’s too late for Sexton to repeat as 450SX Champion, things are looking good for the MX Series. Jett Lawrence gets the jump on the field in the 450SX main event. However, Chase Sexton won the race to the first turn. Malcolm Stewart has been difficult to figure out in 2024 as his speed has been inconsistent at best. Although he crashed late in the 250SX East main event, Jalek Swoll had his best race of 2024 in Philly. Eli Tomac looked great in qualifying but wasn’t able to bring that speed to the 450SX main event. Other than the KTM Team, very few had Tom Vialle leading the 250SX East points with one round to go.
