This past weekend the second round of the 2024 Triple Crown Series took place at Temple Hill Raceway, located just south of Lethbridge, AB. This natural terrain track has been around for a long time, and was even on our National schedule in the late 90s and early 2000s. A lot has obviously changed in 20 plus years, but the one thing that is the same is that the track is extremely challenging. After a tough day, and unfortunately a few injuries, the KTM Canada Team was the big winner as they sweep the 250, 450, and WMX classes at Round 2. Now the series moves east to Manitoba for Round 3, but before we hit the road, let’s look back at some incredible James Lissimore photos from Temple Hill Raceway.
Just as the name states, the Temple Hill track had a lot of elevation.
Quinn Amyotte was one of the hardest charging riders on Sunday and he was rewarded with second OA.
Julien Benek had a great day in Raymond going 6-6 for 6th OA.
After not winning Round 1 in Calgary, Eve Brodeur bounced back with a solid weekend in Raymond!
Congrats Eve! You are a special rider and a special person!
Gage Linville had the first 250 moto win in the bag until he got a little tired. Still, he was able to hold on in moto 2 and finish third OA.
Daniel Elmore went 9-13 for 12th OA in the 450 class. This is not where Danny wants to be.
The MX101 FXR Yamaha boys were looking good in their FTA custom gear.
Despite being sore from a Friday WCAN crash, Mitchell Harrison rode solid to finish 5th OA.
A year ago Wyatt Kerr was lying in a Calgary hospital bed with some very serious injuries. This year, he stood on the podium in moto 2.
Preston Kilroy is quietly having some solid rides in the 450 class. This weekend he tied for 3rd OA.
The KTM Canada Team has come out of the gate fast in 2024.
Tyler Medaglia was back for Round 2 after his hard crash last weekend. Sadly, things did not go well again for the #5.
Josiah Natzke was fast all week at the WCAN, and on Sunday he finished second OA.
Two rounds and two wins for JP15.
With Jess winning on Sunday and Wright DNF’in moto 2, he now has a 22 point lead.
In moto 1, Racine was the fastest rider on the track until he fell. In moto two, he came back strong and finished second.
After missing out on Loretta’s, Dylan Rempel is now back for the rest of the series.
Kaven Benoit’s and Drew Adams opening 250 moto didn’t start very well.
Aaron Tanti rode great on Sunday and finished on the podium in the 450 class.
All week the riders couldn’t decide whether to run a paddle tire or a soft terrain tire.
Tiger Wood had a solid day at Round 2, running up front at times and finishing 6th OA.
Dylan Wright won the opening 450 moto, but then had a big crash in moto 2.
Drew Adams went from last to first in moto one, but suffered a hard crash early in moto 2.
We need more Pettis/Wright battles asap. Heal up DW1!
Kaven Benoit just keeps playing it smart and taking what each race gives him.
