Fox Racing Canada Presents Behind The Lens: Round 5-Sand Del Lee

This past weekend, the 2024 Triple Crown Series traveled to the beautiful Sand Del Lee track just outside our Nation’s Capital. Entering Round 5, only four points separated the two leaders in the 250 Pro/AM and 450 classes. It’s been one heck of a battle this summer, and over the years, the SDL track has produced some of the best racing we’ve seen in Canada. Drew Adams has been the fastest 250 rider thus far in the series, and at SDL on Sunday, he showed everyone that raw speed we’ve been accustomed to seeing in 2024. Adams dominated both motos, taking the overall points lead and red plates from Kaven Benoit. In the 450 class, the KTM duo of Jess Pettis and Josiah Natzke traded moto wins and left Round 5 only four points apart. As always, it was a great day of racing at SDL, and now the series continues to head East to Riverglade Raceway in Moncton, NB. However, before we head East, here are some incredible James Lissimore photos from Round 5 at Sand Del Lee.

Although the paddock was quite wet, the SDL track was in perfect condition.

Drew Adams did exactly what Drew Adams has been doing, holeshotting and dominating both 250 motos.

This is kid tall, smooth, and very fast. Also, now he’s the 250 class points leader.

So far the Eastern rounds have been a bit of a struggle for Quinn Amyotte. Let’s hope he can pull it together this weekend in NB.

The battle between these KTM Canada teammates in the 450 class was outstanding.

Despite finishing second OA again, Benoit has been doing everything he can to remain in the hunt.

Eve Brodeur has been on a mission so far in 2024. At SDL, she once again won the WMX class.

Parker Eales continues to impress as once again he finished well inside the top ten.

It’s great to see these kids from the USA in our series. Young Luke Fauser rode well to finish 8th OA at SDL.

The GDR Honda Team hit it out of the park with their Military Appreciation Day livery.

Austin Jones was very fast in qualifying but struggled in the motos.

Wyatt Kerr is having a solid comeback season and this past weekend he finished 4th OA.

Preston Kilroy has been having a great season in the 450 class. After five rounds he sits in third OA.

What has happened to Gage Linville since the series moved East? Hopefully he can turn it around in the coming weeks.

Tyler Medaglia had a great ride in front of his friends and family at SDL. Third OA in the 250 class was a solid finish.

After his opening moto win, Natzke had the 450 class points lead in his sights. But a 2nd place in moto two cost him the red plates.

Jess Pettis had his best moto of the year in moto two at SDL!

Jess Pettis will carry a four point lead into Round 6 at Riverglade Raceway.

At times, Sebastien Racine was fast enough to win the 250 class at SDL. But bad starts cost him dearly.

Dylan Rempel once again rode great this past weekend and finished 6th OA.

It’s tough to beat Drew Adams when he keeps getting the holeshot.

Aaron Tanti rode solid at SDL but we still think he can better in the coming weeks.

Tanner Ward rode solid on Sunday, but a mistake cost him a third place finish in the final moto.

The man, the myth, the legend! Despite the rain last week, Kevin Tyler made sure the SDL track was in great condition.
