Press Release: 2025 Triple Crown Series- Season Preview

The countdown is over, the gates are about to drop on what’s being called one of the most anticipated motocross seasons in Canadian history. The 2025 Canadian Triple Crown Motocross Nationals, presented by Jetwerx, will travel from Alberta to the Atlantic, bringing with it a championship tour loaded with talent, bold team moves, international intrigue, and a passionate fan base that stretches coast to coast.
With seasoned veterans returning, new contenders rising, and major team shake-ups fueling the storylines, the 2025 season is poised to deliver pure motocross theatre, on and off the track.

2025 Triple Crown Series Schedule:

June 1 – Wildrose MX Park, Calgary, AB

June 8 – Cold Lake, AB

June 28 – St-Julie, QC

July 6 – Gopher Dunes, Courtland, ON (Gopher Dunes)

July 13 – Sand Del Lee, Ottawa, ON (Sand Del Lee)

July 20 – Riverglade MX, Moncton NB

July 27 – Deschambault, QC

August 6–11 – Walton TransCan & Grand National Championship, ON

From the city center backdrop of Calgary, to the deep sand of Gopher Dunes to the rowdy Quebecois crowd at Deschambault and the season-ending showdown at Walton Raceway, the schedule delivers variety, challenge, and some of the most iconic race venues in Canadian motocross.

Brand New Team Stages:

2025 brings an all new look and meaning to the Triple Crown Series, there will be 3 stages with each stage escalating in payout and prestige. Teams will pick their 2 riders, and both riders points will go towards the Stage points chase, as well as the Championship. First stage is Calgary and Cold lake, and will set the tone for the eastern swing of the series. Which team will come out on top? Which riders will be the difference maker for their team? It will be a whole new aspect for the series, and instead of a rider being crowned Triple Crown Champion, it will be a Team!!

450 Class Top Contenders:

Phil Nicoletti (WLTN Kawasakimakes his highly anticipated return to Canadian racing for the first time since 2020. Known for his grit, experience, and take-no-prisoners style, Nicoletti is hungry to add a Canadian title to his long and respected career.


Dylan Wright (GDR / Honda Canada / Fox Racingis a Canadian legend in the making. A multi-time national champion with a flawless record in past seasons, Wright is aiming to reclaim the crown and stamp his name even deeper into Canadian motocross history.


Jess Pettis, the defending 2024 450 National Champion, has made one of the boldest off-season moves , switching from KTM Canada to the factory-backed MX101 / Yamaha Canada / FXR program. Pettis is a fierce competitor with a chip on his shoulder and a #1 plate he doesn’t intend to give up.


Tanner Ward makes a move from WLTN Kawasaki to PriorityMX, following the birth of his son this spring. Rejuvenated and laser-focused, Ward is determined to establish himself among the sport’s elite and prove he’s not just fast , he’s a threat for podiums every round.

250 Pro/Am Class Top Contenders:

Ryder McNabb (GDR / Honda Canada / Fox Racingreturns home after testing his mettle in the U.S. Nationals. A two-time Canadian 250 Champion, McNabb will be on a mission to show he’s still the king of the Canadian 250 class and ready to level up once again.


Dylan Walsh (WLTN Kawasaki) got a small taste of Canadian soil at Walton in 2024, and it left him hungry for more. The New Zealand native brings raw speed, World Championship pedigree, and a style tailor-made for a full series assault.


Dylan Rempel anchors the effort for KTM Canada, representing the next-gen wave of orange athletes. After a promising 2024 season, Rempel looks ready to shake up the podium.


Wyatt Kerr (PriorityMXmay fly under the radar for some, but insiders know his speed is real. Kerr is looking to disrupt the top three conversations every weekend.


Preston Kilroy and Sebastien Racine (MX101 Yamaha Canada / FXR) form one of the strongest two-man teams in the class. Kilroy brings consistent American experience, while Racine, a Ontario/Quebec fan favorite  thrives in the East and will be a huge factor down the stretch.

MX101 / Yamaha Canada / FXRUnder the leadership of Kevin Tyler, MX101 enters 2025 with arguably its most aggressive and balanced roster to date. The addition of defending 450 Champion Jess Pettis headlines a program already loaded with 250 aces Preston Kilroy and Sebastien Racine. With serious ambitions in both classes, MX101 is no longer the underdog — they’re hunting championships from coast to coast.


GDR / Honda Canada / Fox RacingLed by veteran team principal Derek Schuster, GDR remains the gold standard in Canadian motocross. With Dylan Wright in the 450 class and Noah Vinney, Ryder McNabb anchoring the 250 effort, GDR fields two of the most dominant riders in recent history. Consistent, composed, and championship-tested, GDR continues to be the benchmark every other team is chasing.


KTM CanadaAfter a blistering 2024 season that included title contention and breakout performances, KTM Canada enters 2025 with a sharpened focus on youth development and sustainable success. Spearheaded by Dylan Rempel, the orange brand is leaning into its next-gen identity, aiming to build a legacy for the future — not just chase headlines today.


PriorityMXQuickly rising from dark horse to true contender, PriorityMX is turning heads with a smart, focused approach. With Tanner Ward stepping into the team, Parker Eales slotted in 450 class and Wyatt Kerr . Cole Pranger is looking to shake up the 250 division, and team principal Peter Knoop is assembling a program that’s hungry, aggressive, and gaining momentum. Don’t be surprised to see this team contending for podiums every round.


WLTN KawasakiNow entering its third season, WLTN Kawasaki has emerged as one of the most dynamic and talked-about teams in the Triple Crown paddock. Under the dual leadership of Brett Lee and Melody Hodgson, the team has embraced a “lean and lethal” strategy — built around the veteran strength of Phil Nicoletti, the international edge of Dylan Walsh, and the rising promise of Bobby Gravel. With a bold brand identity and factory-level commitment, WLTN Kawasaki has bet big in 2025 — and they’re aiming to disrupt the status quo.


AVL HusqvarnaThe East Coast-based AVL Husqvarna squad brings veteran savvy and grit to the 2025 Triple Crown Series with the experienced duo of Sam Gaynor and Danny Elmore. Both riders are known for their work ethic, consistency, and racecraft — the kind of athletes who chip away all season long. Expect to see them battling inside the top 10 early, with eyes firmly set on top 5 overall standings by year’s end. AVL riders thrive on outworking the competition and punching above their weight.


Guaranteed Comfort HondaA true wildcard for 2025, Guaranteed Comfort Honda enters the Triple Crown Series with the potential to shake things up in their debut season. Dutch sand specialist Lars Van Berkel brings international speed and the potential to land on eastern round podiums. Meanwhile, Zach Ufimzeff, Tyler Shewcyk and Quinn Amyotte provide depth and consistency — both capable of top-5 finishes throughout the season. With the right momentum, this program could be one of the year’s biggest surprises.


Triumph RacingA new name in the paddock but already making waves, Triumph Racing enters the 2025 Triple Crown Series with a pair of highly talented young guns: Blake Davies and Julien Benek. Both riders gained valuable experience racing Supercross in the off-season and arrived at Round 1 with momentum, confidence, and something to prove. Backed by a well-resourced program and sharp technical support, this duo is quietly poised to disrupt expectations. Don’t be surprised to see Davies and Benek knocking on the door of the top 5 in their respective classes — and possibly even more as the season unfolds. Triumph is here to contend, not just participate.

Team Canada- 2025 MXON:

After a strong 2024 showing, Canada returns to the MXON this fall at Ironman Raceway in Crawfordville, Indiana, USA led once again by Kourtney Lloyd. With a talented domestic pool and Canadian riders gaining global experience, expectations are rising for a top-10 or better performance. Rider selections will become a hot topic mid-season, especially as national title battles heat up.
