Wardlow AB: September 9 marked the last round of the Royal Distributing Canadian Off Road Championship at Motopark near Chatsworth Ontario. The World Enduro Canada event went off flawlessly as mother nature blessed the racers with a good soaking, granting perfect conditions for Canada’s best off roaders.
From the motocross starting gate, Kitimat BC’s Ben Rego gated inside the top 5 in the Pro class and working his way into 3rd by lap 4. From there, Ben kept his Husaberg TE300 on the pipe, taking 3rd at the finish. Ben’s first full series in 2010 earned him a ride on CGRT for 2011. In 2012 Ben has brought home the Royal Distributing Canadian E3 National Enduro Title and with his podium at Motopark, solidified himself 3rd overall in the Royal Distributing Off Road Championship! Husaberg and CGRT’s first championship and first, overall podium!!!
“As of today, I do not think we’ve seen the full extent of Ben’s talent. I’m very happy that the dream of any off roader can become reality with a little passion and hard work. We are very proud of Ben and his accomplishments this year!!” states Lee Fryberger, manager of CGRT.
Another good day was had by Lee, who holeshot his class, taking the win and capturing the Vet Master Championship.
Cole Dobovich ( Provost AB ) pushed hard through the Motopark course finishing tenth place Pro. During his first year as a Pro, Cole has faced a few challenges, but his smooth style and never ending energy has brought him to the end of the nationals with a great finish.
