MXP: Hey Newf! What were your thoughts on the opening round of the 2025 WSX Championships in Argentina?
RL: I was excited to watch last weekend and I feel there were some highs to the racing but in all honesty it was pretty boring. Roczen and Ansite ran away with the wins pretty easy but there were some battles father back in the pack which was nice to see. I actually really liked the track as it wasn’t your normal cookie cutter track. Big whoops which gave everyone some issues and a few different types of Rhythms. On a scale of 1-10 I will give it a 7.

MXP: This coming weekend is Round 2 in your backyard. What are you most looking forward to in Vancouver?
RL: When any type of Supercross or motocross is less than a hour from your house, you just have to go and support it; it goes without saying. It will be exciting to see Eli Tomac debut the KTM, so really looking forward to see how that all looks. Other than that, it’s always nice to catch up with riders and mechanics that you don’t get to see very often.

MXP: One of the riders’ signings announced recently was Sebastien Racine partnering up with the WLTN Kawasaki Team to ride a 450 in 2026. What are your thoughts on Sebastien moving over to Team Green, as well as moving up to the 450 class?
RL: It was a move that I didn’t see coming that’s for sure. I really thought he was pretty comfortable being at MX101 but as they always say sometimes change is good. I think the switch is good for both parties. It puts sebastien in the number one rider role on the team, which he has never been in before, as well as the team to be able to work with a Canadian rider, who I feel will be willing, and maybe a little bit more open minded, as he’s still so young. I will say from everything I have seen he rides a 450 really well.
