2013 ONTARIO PROVINCIAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
It’s an exciting year for the Motovan.com Ontario Provincial Championships!!! The series will consist of five rounds for all motocross classes, with over $10,000 in prizes presented to the top finishers. In addition to the prizes, series jackets and plaques will be awarded to the top three in each respective class. For the Pro class, a series purse of $2,500 will be distributed at the end of their series.
New for 2013, racers finishing within the top five in the following classes will be permitted to display their overall Provincial number (ie. Ontario Provincial Champion can run #1) in 2014 providing they compete in the same class as they earned their provincial number:
50cc 4-6, 50cc 7 to 8, 65cc Pee Wee 7 to 9, 65cc Pee Wee 10 to 11, 85cc 7 to 11, 85cc 12 to 16, MX1/MX2 Junior, MX1/MX2 Intermediate.
The final two rounds of the Motovan.com Ontario Provincial Championships will take place on the Saturday of Round 5 & 6 of the Monster Energy Motocross Nationals at Gopher Dunes and Sand Del Lee respectively to make for two high profile, entertaining weekends. The 96 hour national rule prevents Pros from competing on each Saturday, so the final two rounds of the Provincials for the Pro class will take place on September 7th at Sand Del Lee and October 6th at Gopher Dunes.
All awards will be presented at the Ontario Provincial Awards Banquet – date and location to be announced at a later date.
