Last weekend in Arlington, Texas, the 2026 Monster Energy Supercross Series came to town and delivered fans inside the massive AT&T Stadium plenty of excitement. Both the 250SX East and 450SX main events were very exciting, as Pierce Brown and Hunter Lawrence grabbed their first wins of 2026. Now, the series moves to Daytona, and perhaps the most famous race of the year. However, before we head to Daytona Beach, let’s look back at some great Matt Wellumson photos from Round 7 in Arlington.
Cole Davies was fast all night in Dallas, but a first-turn crash in the main event ruined his chances of winning. Fresh off a second overall in the AMA AX Series, Cole Thompson was unable to qualify for the 450SX main event. The racing was exciting all night long in Arlington. Hunter Lawrence followed Ken Roczen for over half of the main event before making a pass for the lead. After all he’s been through it was great to see Pierce Brown win the 250SX East main event. After a slow start to the 450SX Series, Justin Cooper has been riding well in the past several weeks. For everyone at home, this is how you do a modern-day whip! Ken Roczen rode well enough to win in Arlington, but he faded a little in the closing laps. Chase Sexton didn’t have a great finish at Round 7, but he said his bike is working better. It was great to see these riders back from injuries and battling for the 250SX East main event win. With a right-handed first turn in Arlington, riders had to brake early and be on their toes. Although Malcolm Stewart has shown signs of speed, he hasn’t been the same since his opening round crash. Eli Tomac rode great in Texas, but here he’s clearly not happy with second place. Noah Viney is back racing and this time he’s on Team Green. Your very popular 250SX East podium. Hunter Lawrence stands on the top step of the 450SX podium for the first time in 2026. After multiple second-place finishes and his win in Arlington, Hunter will once again take the red plates in Round 8. There are still a lot of races left, but it would be something if Hunter could pull off this 450SX Championship.
