With the final two rounds of the 2014 Future West Canadian Arenacross Championships taking place this weekend in Chilliwack, BC, there was excitement all over the Heritage Park Complex. After sixteen main events on four separate weekends the series has finally concluded with Teddy Maier and Ross Johnson winning the Pro Lites and Pro Open classes respectively. Lucky for us one of the top photographer’s in this country was on hand to capture the final weekend of this great series. Here are round’s seven and eight through the lens of James Lissimore.
Once again the Chilliwack arena provided a perfect track for the final weekend of the 2014 Future West Canadian Arenacross Championships.
Is it me or does this Lissimore photo look like a fine painting? I’m sure Ross Johnson wishes it was.
Although Jess Pettis (#40) started off the series slow, the Prince George rider rebounded nicely in the last few weekends and ended up sixth overall in the Pro Lites class.
Ryan Lockhart had a good 2014 series finishing sixth overall in the Pro Open class and winning the Dash For Cash title again.
Every Arenacross needs a little freestyle from time to time. This photo is insane by the way.
New to the series this year, Shawn Maffenbeier was a great addition to the arenas of the west coast. Other than a couple of hiccups Shawn and a good series and finished in the top five in both classes.

Even with all the star power that this series had, local BC kid Brock Hoyer held his own to have an awesome series. He would finish in the top five in both classes aboard his Yamaha.

Few riders entered the 2014 series with as much hype as Adam Enticknap did. While he was a little off the pace of Maier and Johnson, he did show some great speed and ended up fifth overall in the Pro Open Class.
I hope the little kids don’t see this photo as it might just confused them.
