As the 2016 Monster Energy Supercross Series heads into round 4 this weekend in Oakland, we take a look back at everything that went down inside Angel stadium. Thanks to these incredible Frank Hoppen photos we get a glimpse of what the riders faced at the final Anaheim SX of this exciting 2016 season.

Jake Weimer came into 2016 fit and ready to show exactly what he is made of. Well, thanks to his high level of riding in the first three rounds, Weimer has landed himself some factory level support with the RCH Suzuki team for the remainer of the Supercross series.

With Trey Canard having such a bad night at Angel Stadium, all of Honda’s hopes were on Cole Seely. He didn’t disappoint with a solid 6th place finish in the main event.

It was great to see Weston Peick back on the track after his one race suspension. By the looks of this photo, Weston was very hungry to get back out there.

Weston rode great in the early stages of the main event before fading back to 14th. Look for him to be a consistent top five guy very soon.

Like Ryan Dungey and Chad Reed, Eli Tomac has been smart and very fast in the first three rounds of the 2016 Monster Energy Supercross Series. In Anaheim, Tomac rode to a well earned 4th overall.

Although Ken Roczen has been very fast so far in 2016, something appears to be missing as once again he barely made it on the podium at A2.

After a very good off-season, Jimmy Decotis has been slowly getting better and better during the first three rounds of SX. Once again, Jimmy was solid at A2 and rode to a very good 5th place finish.

Jason Anderson is another 450 rider who has been a threat to win each and every weekend so far in 2016. In Anaheim, Jason rode to a safe 5th overall.

Who says SX tracks don’t develop ruts? Here Marvin Musquin navigates some deep ruts on his way to a 9th place finish.

At 33 years old Chad Reed continues to impress the SX community with his riding. Just like last weekend, Reed rode great at A2 and was able to hold on to 2nd place.

The whoops at round three were very deep and caused alot of difficulty to more than one top rider. Here Reed and Seely show perfect form as they hammer through one of the two whoop sections.

Cole Thompson came into round three with high hopes of getting his first top ten finish of 2016. Unfortunately, a few crashes kept Cole out of the main event and on the sidelines with a sore shoulder.

The racing in the 250SX has been incredible so far in 2016. Here our own Cole Thompson leads a couple of aggressive riders during their heat race.
